    Default different-coloured bonnets

Hi; How could I make adjectives as on this sentence? Should I use just 'different coloured bonnets' without any dash?

    Like what?

You haven't made it clear whether you wish to talk of coloured bonnets that are different from each other in some way or bonnets that are different colours.
