Advective and pronoun
When should I use the adjective "my" and when I use the pronoun "mine"
Re: Advective and pronoun
You state that one is an adjective and the other is a pronoun. That is your answer. Use "my" as an adjective, to modify a noun. Use "mine" to stand in for a noun. This is my coat. This is mine.
