Which is correct? or both?

I wonder which of the following two expressions is in the right way or both?

1\ it looks as weird as it sounds
2\ it looks weird as much as it sounds

I'd use #1.

I'd go further, and say that 2\ would never be used by a fluent speaker.

Bergerstone, the only improvement I can suggest is that you go back to your own posts (#4 and #5) and edit them so that they contain correct capitalisation. You must capitalise the first word of every sentence and capitalise the word "I" in written English, at all times.
