"Teaching" used as a noun
Dear friends,
We're all familiar with the verb "to teach". How about the noun "a teaching"? I'll give a few examples:
- religious teaching (ideas, principles, etc. saying how people should live if they follow some religion)
- the Teaching of the Twelve
- the teachings of the Koran
Now please read the sentence:
"In contemporary medical practice there is a growing interest in old oriental methods of reflexodiagnostics and relexotherapy based upon the teaching about meridian energy balance of the body."
Have I used the word "teaching" correctly?
Thanks
