    Default "Idle"

    Hi,
Does "idle" have the same meaning with "vain"?
I'd would say, "I did something in vain," can I use the same structure with "idle"?

    Thanks in Advance,

No. Have you looked up the words in a dictionary?

There is absolutely no connection between them. As bhai said, have you checked a dictionary? Once you have done that, do please let us know which part of the definitions made you think they could be synonymous.

Of curse I checked the dictionary, but it was English to Persian. So, I think they might have translated the word incorrectly.

There are many good dictionaries here.

I think there must have been an error somewhere. Just use an English dictionary and look at definitions, rather than translations.
