interfere with
Are the following sentences acceptable?
1. Drinks with much sugar, caffeine or alcohol is bad for sleeping.
2. Abusing the sleeping pills may interfere with your sleep.
3. The cranial nerve controls your sleep, so you may have insomnia if you have a nerval disease.
4. Some people think they must sleep for a long time, and they think they had insomnia.

Re: interfere with
I think 4 means 'Because some people believe that they 'should' get a certain amount of sleep, they assume that if they don't get that amount they must have insomnia' - in which case it's the premise rather than the logic that's wrong.

Re: interfere with
Yes, that's what #4 means. I reworded the sentence as following. Is it acceptable?
The fear of insomnia:Some people believe that they should get a certain amount of sleep, and they assume that if they don't get that amount, they must have insomnia. In this case, they really have insomnia.

Re: interfere with
That's OK only if by the context it is clear that when you say 'this case' you are referring to a case of real insomnia and not to the case of 'phantom insomnia' that you've just described.
