It might depend on how the metal pipe is being moved. If it is being lifted/lowered into place and the person moving it must carefully move it amongst other pieces of machinery etc, then it's possible that warning against "hitting" might be fine.
If it's a more general instruction:
Ensure the metal pipe does not make contact with anything else.
Remember - correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing make posts much easier to read.

"Bump" could be used as well, since any contact would be slight and accidental.
