"It takes the ferris wheel 40 minutes to "do a 360 degree"."(That's how I say it and it can be wrong)

Is there a more acceptable way of saying "do a 360 degree"?

There are several ways to express this. I suggest the following:

It takes the ferris wheel 40 minutes to complete a 360 degree turn.

Or, depart from your model a bit more:

It takes the ferris wheel 40 minutes to complete a single revolution.

Or simply to "go around once."

:up: For their own horrible marketing reasons, the owners of the London Eye call one revolution a 'flight'. I suppose this is to forestall people like me who when asked to leave said 'What? Twelve quid* to go round only once?' ;-)

It takes the wheel forty minutes to go all the way round.
