    I am not sure whether the words 'recall' and 'call back' are synonyms.

    Thank you for your reply. I meant this as in: 'The product had to be recalled.' ... and wasn't sure whether you could also say something like '... the company had to arrange a call-back campaign.' But now I know that this does not work.
