He paints everyday.
The verbs closed and paints I think are both.... how can I say unlike "like" they are action words. On this case, how can I determine if it's transitive or not. Could they be both TV & ITV?

Look for the object- there's an object in the first (the door), which is affected by the action of the verb. In the second, there isn't, though we can use an object with 'paints' (he painted a picture). Some transitive verbs don't always require an object every time we use them.![]()
