This is one of my doubts I have about spoken English... What does exactly "ain't" mean? I find it so hard to understand. Thanks a lot!!! Abel Alves Felix

Hi af4ya, "ain't" is slang for "isn't", it's often used in lyrics especially rap songs. I guess it's on the same level as gonna, wanna, ... . Kind regards

It can also be haven't/hasn't and can be used in all forms of be: I ain't going. I ain't done it etc It's very common in spoken English.

tdol, Thanks for your reaction, that "ain't" is also getting used instead of haven't/hasn't did cross my mind. But now that you mention it, I think I heard Bart Simpson "I ain't done it" ... you can't proof anything" But good to know of course !!! Kind Regards
