4- Which one is correct (if any)?
"I was at Liverpool Street when you called"
"I was in Liverpool Street when you called"

Thanks a lot,
It also means depressed or sad?2- What does it mean "a person is dull"?

But you could say "I was on Liverpool...", couldn't you?"I was (shopping/walking/sitting/ driving) on Liverpool Street when you called."
Thanks again
Nope. It doesn't. To express 'sad/depressed', use "down".Originally Posted by abrilsp

Yes. The brackets (...) mean optional. So words inside the brackets can be left unsaid."I was (shopping/walking/sitting/ driving) on Liverpool Street when you called."
But you could say "I was on Liverpool...", couldn't you?
