What does this line mean ?
I'm currently reading Seven Habits by Stephen Covey.
On page 37(pdf) a paragraph begins as "Beacuse our attitudes and behaviors flow out of our paradigms,if we use our self-awareness to examine them,we can often see in them the nature of our underlying maps".
What does "flow out" mean in this context?
From online dictionary sites flow out means spill forth, effuse , emanate. But I haven't thorughly understood as to what the author means to say?
Re: What does this line mean ?
Yes, it means emanate. Our preconceived notions and ways of seeing things (paradigms) affect our attitudes and behaviors.
