    Default as vs being

    Please take a look at the following sentences.

    a. As a student, I need to study hard.
    b. Being a student, I need to study hard.

    Which one is correct? Or one is more natural than the other? Or both are correct? If so, what is the nuance between them? I do need language experts' opinions. Thank you a lot.
