Default Question about phrases

A friend of mine and I got are in a bit of a slump. I told the following joke:

What did the farmer give his wife for Valentine's Day?
Hogs and Kisses

Please excuse the corny joke, but the phrase "hogs and kisses"; what would you call that in English? Isn't there some technical term for that?

Thanks!

Susan

It's a pun, though not the funniest.
