My question is about a vocabulary doubt. Is it possible to use the word "affective" in English with the meaning of "affectionate"? Can you say something like "Susan is a very affective person"?

My doubt is whether it is possible to use the word "affective" in English as a synonym of "affectionate". Can you say something like "Susan is a very affective person"?

I wouldn't use it there- we do have the word; affective learning is learning that involves the emotional sides of a person, for instance, but it isn't a straight synonym.

Thanks a lot for your help with the word "affective". It is sometimes very difficult to make the difference between words when you're not bilingual
