Can you tell me when you should use enquiry and when inquiry
Hello swed1,
enquiry and inquiry are exactly the same. It doesn't matter which one you choose![]()
Best wishes,
Dany
I wouldn't say they are exactly the same in british English. In American English, I believe 'inquiry' is generally used, but in British English, an 'enquiry' is usually smaller than an 'inquiry'. If I phone a company and ask about prices, that would be an 'enquiry', but when it is more of an investaigation, then it is an 'inquiry', IMO.![]()
