Dear teachers,
here is a saying:
love is like coke: something you get as the product of making something else.
what does "coke" mean here?
coca-cola?
cocaine?
something that can be burned like coal?
what is coke the by-product of ?
What does the saying mean?
Thanks
Hello JJ
I think this refers to "petroleum coke", rather than Coca-Cola, cocaine, or the coke that it derived from coal. Petroleum coke is a byproduct of the petroleum-refining process.
