could you please explain to me the meaning of the following sentence?
It is about the Organisation of the World Bank.

The Bank`s activities are financed by subscriptions made on joining the organisation and by finance raised on the capital markets.

When they join, they have to pay subscriptions, presumably according to their size, etc, then the rest of the money is raised from private investment
