Maybe it means a change of scene or a change of perspective.

SWITCH (with a gun pointing at Neo): .....Right now there is only one rule. Our way or the highway. .....
This sentence is from the movie Matrix I, what does SWITCH mean here ?
Maybe it means a change of scene or a change of perspective.

I'd have to hear or read it in context to know which one would be the better interpretation of the two.
I'd go with the first one without any context.
Let's say you and I are driving to Las Vegas together in my car. I am behind the wheel driving, and you are in the passenger seat beside me telling me how to drive the car. You keep saying, "Slow down!", "Turn here!" "I think we should take that road over there". "Please turn down the radio!" It's too hot in the car!" "Open the window", and so on. You are telling me what to do. It's your way of doing things. I get upset with you and say, "Listen, we either do things my way, the way I like them to be done, or I will stop the car and let you out in the middle of the highway, and you'll have to walk to Las Vegas! If you walk to Las Vegas, you will most certainly die, because the heat and having no water and the long walk will kill you. It's either my way or the highway! Which do you choose?Originally Posted by whl626
Switch means, you have two choices: either 1) you do what I say or 2) I will kill you. Which one do you choose?
:D
