How can we use "can" & "could", what are the other usages of "can" & "could".

'Can' is used for ability: I can tapdance.
'Can' is used for friendly offers and requests: Can I help you? Can you close the door, please?

'Could' is used as a past form of can: I could tapdance when I was young.
'Could' is used for more formal offers and requests: Could I help you? Could you close the door, please?
