Hi,
I have seen some people use "different than" and
some people use "different from" and also "different to".
Are they all correct usages, or is it a spoken vs written thing?
Thanks
In formal grammar, the correct choice is "different from".
"Different than" is considered by Webster's New World Dictionary to be colloquial, and "different to" is colloquial in British English.
'Different than' isn't used much in British English- it tends to be used more by Americans.![]()
Thank you rewboss and tdol. :)
