 past perfect...  Do i have to use the past perfect when a time word like ( before) is use to tell when was the action?ex:I had had 3 cups of coffee before I came here or: I had 3 cups of coffee before I came here Thanks Monik Last edited by Monik2; 03-Mar-2006 at 00:21. |

 Re: past perfect... When the sequence is clear, we often just use the past tense. In your example, it's fine. |
