Please would you help me, and correct these sentences. I am not sure if I have used correctly phrases like "demean yourself", "lower yourself" or "stoop to".
1. Watching him, I asked myself how far he was going to demean himself.
2. Peter had not expected that his friend would lower himself to such dishonesty.
3. Nobody had expected that he would stoop so low to rob his own parents.
Re: Watching him
The construction in #1 is a bit odd. I would say "I asked myself how far he would go to demean himself."
