    Default Re: took heart

It's hard to say without a context, but it's definitely about love and romance. It may refer to unrequieted love -- "You may not love me, but I am in love with you" -- or perhaps a break-up -- "You don't love me any more, but I still love you."

The idea is that because the other person took your heart away, you can't give it to someone else -- that is, you feel that you can't love another person.
