the usage of 'welcome'
Are the sentences below correct and natural? Thank you.
1. We welcome you to come to Taiwan.
2. We welcome you to Taiwan.
3. You are welcome to come to Taiwan.
4. You are welcome to Taiwan.
Re: the usage of 'welcome'
All are grammatical except #1. For an invitation, #3 would be appropriate. As a greeting to somebody already arrived, we would say simply "Welcome to Taiwan!"
