Please would you take a look at these sentences and correct them.
1. His working colleagues did not like him, nor did his boss, and therefore, he decided to leave the company.
2. Nobody helped the injured old man, not passersby, drivers, street sweepers or the police.
Now I do not understand which sentence is correct and which is wrong. Please could a teacher correct my mistakes.
#2 is better but needs some punctuation alterations: "Nobody helped the injured old man - not passers-by, drivers, street sweepers or police".
I find myself inclined to use "nor" rather than "or" at the end but can't decide. Other BrE speakers?
Remember - correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing make posts much easier to read.
