Wedding Invite
Hi
I am preparing a wedding invite.
Are both of the following correct or is one preferred?
"The reception afterwards will be held at the Red Lion Hotel"
"The reception will be held afterwards at Red Lion Hotel"
Thanks and Regards,
Iain

The first is the preferred form.

Re: Wedding Invite
You don't need to mention the reception, simply
'and afterwards at The Red Lion Hotel.' would be fine.
If you want to include the words the reception, then your second suggestion is acceptable
