Default I'm beginning to wonder whether there are/aren't more disadvantages than advantages.

I'm beginning to wonder whether there are more disadvantages than advantages.

I'm beginning to wonder whether there aren't more disadvantages than advantages.

Could you please explain to me what is the difference between ''are'' and ''aren't'' in meaning in this sentence?

Thanks in advance...
