Dear teachers,
Today I met "turn left" and "turn to your left", and I recalled other things about turn left.
can we say " turn to left"?
can we say " turn on left"?
" take a left turn"," take the left turn", " take your left turn","take a turn of left". which one is right?
on the left of ... to the left of .... what is the difference between them?
Thanks a lot.
By the way, English is really difficult.![]()
Turn to left
Turn on left
Take a left turn
Take the left turn(the diference is the number of left turns- here there's only one)
These are all OK to me and mean much the same, apart from the a/the difference.
In the UK, people will also say 'hang a left'.
By the way, English is really difficult.- And you think Japanese isn't?![]()
