    Both are correct. "Cannot" is used where the emphasis is upon an inability to do something. "Can not" emphasises an ability to NOT do something.

    For example:

    "I cannot play tennis." - I am unable to play tennis.
    "I can not play tennis." - if I want to make the boss feel good by beating me at tennis.
