I have to decide whether the following two sentences produced by a 7 year old are simple, complex or compound sentences. I think the are compound sentences but not really sure. I hope someone can help me!
1. Once upon a time in a vast, gloomy forest their lived a kind wolf strolling along in the forest.
2. The queen in the catle asked her picture, picture picture on the wall who is the bossy one of all?
