    Exclamation Meaning of some sentences!!!

    Hello everybody,
    Would you please tell me the meanig of these sentences?

    1)At the expense of something.
    2)All too often.
    3)A golden hand shake.
    4)Nuts and bolts.
    5)What do you make of what`s going on?
    6)The exception that proves the rule.

    2 it means it happens too often
    3 payment as an incentive, usually to leave a company
    4 the real, key issues
    5what's your opinion of what is happening
    6 it's literal- the exception can show how often the rule applies
