Wink ride, take, get by use in transportation

We go by car/plane/bus/train/bike/motorbike/ship/taxi/underground.

We take a bus/train/taxi/plane and we take the underground.

We ride a bicycle/bike/motorbike/horse.

Question 1: How about we ride a taxi/plane/train, etc.? Is it right to say that?

Question 2 : "The pilot flies an airplane" I know is correct, how about "a pilot drives an airplane?" I just want to know when I can use drive, ride, take get when we speak of transportation..Thanks! Have a nice day!!!! : )
