the name of Sociology classes

Hello,
I have never took sociology in college so I don' have any clues what these name means.
Could someone help me to understand?

1)Common Good

2)Good Character

3)Historical Biographies


Does Historical Biographies means biographies of someone who were very famous in the history?

1- Good for most people in society (possibly at the expense of a few individuals- building a road may be for the common good, but some might lose their houses)
2- This refers to the morals and ethics of an individual, their trustworthiness, etc
3- Biographies of historical figures, I assume;-)
