    Default Reading Comprehension

    Hi!
    I'm an English teacher just starting my career. I just want to ask you your opinion about texts that are on coursebooks. Which is the best way to teach them?Reading and maybe translating them? And what activities do students usually have to do as far as texts are concerned?

    Most activities, and there are many, are designed to test comprehension, either in detail or general, to extend grammatical and other points in the text and to assist in learning vocab, etc.
