Default omitting the infinitive "to" after a conjunction?

Is it incorrect to omit the infinitive "to" after a conjunction, like in these below?

"He told me to be patient and () study well."
"It is your choice to be successful or () be unsuccessful.

No, it isn't incorrect, although it isn't necessary.

Omitting "to" is not so common in English. Using infinitive with "to" is preferable.
