Hi teachers,
All the recommendations in the proposal … to save … money
a) are / you
b) was / your
c) were / your
I have been discussing this question with one of my friends. Could you please help us end this discussion!!!
Thanks in advance...

It cannot be b) because "recommendations" are plural and so require a plural form of "to be".
"Are" or "were" are equally possible. It depends upon whether you are talking about the recommendations in the present or the past.
"You" is slightly more natural, but "your" is not incorrect.
Thank you very much Coffa.Originally Posted by Coffa

Agreed. My money's on indicative a) are / you, though. It's the better choice of the two options. Choice c) were / your expresses "save your money" [from what]?![]()
