    Default verb to tell

Can I use the verb "to tell" followed by "to". For exemple:
I want to tell something to you. ????
    Thanks

    Default Re: verb to tell

    Welcome, Bernadete.

[1] I want to tell you the news.
[2] I want to tell the news to you.

If we replace the noun phrase "the news" with the pronoun "it", the structure works in [3] but not in [4],

[3] I want to tell it to you.
[4] I want to tell you it.

    Hope that helps.
