What does "edge of seventeen" mean?
I don't exactly remember where i've heard of it. But I guess it means "end of seventeen"?
It's the title of a song, and a movie. It means, no longer a child and not yet an adult.
Can I think of edge as an end? "end of seventeen"?Originally Posted by Casiopea
Yes, you could, but it carries more meaning than that. It's more like, a conceptual line, i.e., the edge along which the years 17 and 18 meet. That is, the end of childhood and the beginning of adulthood.![]()
Is 18 the beginning of adulthood in America? Coz it's different here in korea. 20 is the beginning of adulthood. Do people in America can drink after they become 18?Originally Posted by Casiopea
In North America, a person 18 years of age is considered an adult. As for the (legal) drinking age, it depends on the State or Province you live in.![]()
