"I wouldn't trust those conversions about what a pound in that time would be worth today. They don't accurately reflect the way people lived. What they bought and how they lived was different. I don't think you can do a one to one coversion.
I find it is better to compare what contemporary families had and what you could buy with that money. "

Are "I find it is better" and "I find it better" both correct when used in the above paragraph?
