Question forgo - am i using it correctly?

Hi,


1) I am afraid you have to forgo as i am not available on monday

2) forgo the dinner, we are already late for the movies


what you say about 1 and 2?

Yes, you are using it correctly. Forgo means to go without, abstain, or relinquish. You may also spell it "forego".
