When do we use 'approval from' & 'approval of' ?
I believe 'approval from' is used in scenarios like " Approval from the goverment is required for the modernization of the airport. "
'Approval of' is used as in the following example "The trip could be finalised after the approval of funds."
So Generally is "approval from" used when we refer to a person , organization etc (ie animate objects) and "approval of" for inimate objects ?
"proof" works the same way:
You'll need proof of purchase; You'll need to prove that you purchased X, Y, and Z.
You'll need proof from your company; i.e., from them; You'll need them to prove to us that . . . "
