| Based on whether we should open the campuses of famous universities to travellers or not, different people have different opinions. I don't think the sentence is correct. The subject of the sentence is "different people" and the logic subject of "based" should agree with the subject. In other words, the logical subject of "based" should be "people". Should we change the structure to something like "basing their conclusion on the facts they...."? Looking forward to hearing from you. Thank you in advance. Jiang |
