cutting and making dresses?

Is this correct?

I work at a workshop cutting and making dresses.

Is it possible to write:

I work at a workshop cutting and dressmaking

I think both examples are ok. ;-)

That sentence seems to be saying you cut the dresses and make the dresses. Perhaps:

• I work at a workshop cutting patterns and making dresses.

Or (even better):

• I work at a workshop cutting patterns and sewing dresses.

I am not sure that dressmaking is a verb, but I could be wrong.
