what does this mean?

I was watching Supernatural the other day and being Australian I didn't understand one of the phrases there. Dean said: "I told them that you were a dumb-ass pledge and that we were hazing you!"
What does this mean?
I am totally lost and I have searched EVERYWHERE to find out what it means.

Hazing is an american slang term for initiating someone into a group (army, college, gang etc)
I assume a dumb ass pledge is an initiate or someone who wants to join - maybe having to take a pledge or an oath or somthing.
