Default Re: Justice.

Hello Sam

"Justice" derives from the Old French word "justice". This derives from the Latin word "justitia", which means "equity" or "righteousness", and in turn derives from the Latin word "justus", which means "just", or "pertaining to law".

The "-ice" ending is therefore a modified version of the Latin ending "-itia", which is the rough equivalent of the English ending "-ness".

"Justice" therefore in effect means "just-ness".

Does that help?
