hi. i seen this on a test , but it doesnt seem right. the answer which was correct was:
"She don't like her homework"
but isnt "She doesn't like her homework" right and better? this sentence was not a possible answer
thx!
The 3rd person pronoun "she" agrees in person and number with the verb "does".
EX: She doesn't like (to do) her homework.
Note, words in brackets (. . . ) are optional.
All the best.
so "She DON'T like her homework" is 100% wrong? not possible?
Given the rules of Standard English, "She don't" is ungrammatical. Given the test question, I couldn't say whether it's 'incorrect' or not. You see, Banshee, I've not had opportunity to view the test. For all I know, the test question could have been, "Which of the following is incorrect?" You'll have to decide whether the test question is correct or not. But as for the grammar, Standard English says, "She doesn't" is good form.
Hope that eases your worries, some.
All the best.![]()
