hallo.could anyone tell me how to organize the words that i have learned.my vocabulary consists of nearly 4 000 words, but sometimes i find myself speechless in certain situations.i cannot think of the appropriate word.
Start your own personal dictionary. In order to use the words in context, use the new word appropriately in a sentance to reinforce the meaning.
Hello Gambler
Make a list of all the situations in which you're likely to want to speak English (e.g. booking a room in a hotel, buying something in a shop, attempting to attract a member of the opposite sex, etc.).
Write down four or five brief conversations in your own language in each of those situations.
Then mark the words and phrases for which you don't know the English equivalents and look them up.
MrP
you can arrange them according to situations u can face to. for example, you know some vocabs and expressions related to airport, and when you are there. then you can arrenge the topics by alphabet. i do the same.
