Hello all
Does it make any difference if we ask someone to (have a seat) or (take a seat)? Plz tell me if there is any difference in meaning and the place each of them can be used.

for me, there's no difference in meaning between the two...same situation with have a shower and take a shower...have a shower is commonly used by English ( British ) and take a shower is commonly used by Americans..that's what I know...I once read it.
As Applejoy says, there's no real difference, but if I were giving an order, I think I'd probably use 'take'.![]()
